Ok guys i need some advice,i was told a year ago that the reason my 1.4 PH2 Y reg Megane needed a new camshaft sensor as it has an intermittent starting problem, now as the car is used once a week if that it hasnt been a problem.

Now i need to know several things.

1. Is this the part i need http://cgi.ebay.co.u...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

2. Where is the sensor located on the 1.4

3. Does my car have a cat

afaik, they dont have a camshaft sensor. crankshaft sensor is one that plays up alot. Cant view the one in the link, as the link broken. crank sensor is ontop of the gearbox.

Yes it has a cat.

Yes thats the correct one.

But, you can get a new revised one from renault which is blue and also a new bit of loom to go with it, to address the poor starting issues.

Infact, I've got a spare sitting here somewhere if your interested.

I'll have a look and find it first! but i'd want abot £40, the loom from renault is £55!
